☆ There are two different words for “food”. The first one, “étel” is the official, dictionary form. There is another common word that people use in everyday speech, which is “kaja” [ˈkɒjɒ]. There is also another verb to replace the standard “eszik” [ˈɛsik] (to eat), and that is “kajál” [ˈkɒjaːl].
☆ Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner
Reggeli [ˈrɛɡːɛli] → breakfast
Ebéd [ˈɛbeːd] → lunch
Vacsora [ˈvɒt͡ʃorɒ] → dinner
